Forward Geometry - Mondraker 2013
16 July 2012 | By AngusMcIntosh | 3 CommentsMondraker launches an evolution geometry concept focused on its core bike range. The new Forward Geometry presents clear advantages for any category compared with a traditional geometry. All this benefits are focused to improve the control, handling and riding confidence.
Fabien Barel, as Mondraker ambassador and a key role in the development of the Forward Geometry gives a more thorough explanation about the new geometry.
It certainly would be interesting to have a ride on a bike with this new concept. What do you think?

I think the geometry is very interesting on this bike. I understand what your saying Nojzilla and it could be a very valid point for when things start getting on the steep side. The main things with it that i can see are really short rear chainstay's which will make it feel really nippy and playful and the shortest stem of all stems to make up for the very long "Front Centre". In theory it could be perfect. The bike industry seems to be changing with more weight put on the geometry and how it rides than how it looks which can only be a good thing for the consumer. That said i don't think its the worst looking bike i have ever seen It will be interesting to see what people have to say about it.pigman65 replied on: 16 July 2012 23:08
Basically a stretched bike with no stem,so it's at the same reach but not twitchy ( unlike putting a 50 mm on a bike that requires 110mm?) I just watched Fabs vid with Andreu and he's riding it in that, but then again he's not your average rider .pigman65 replied on: 16 July 2012 23:10
as for the looks, not sure about the over curved top tube, but still nice imosteve c said on: 17 July 2012 19:05
You can see the reasoning, direct steering, rather than the sweep steering that a stem provides, amplified if using a long stem... though the forks still are leading axle, so not completely direct...Fabian is looking pinned as ever, but the front does look ultra steady and planted... not totally convinced, but definitely worth a look... and i quite like the look of the bike, wonder if they will match up a 29er with this frame ?
