Eyesdown Films: Halo BDS Rd.2 - Fort William

15 May 2012  |

What a weekend, we had the pleasure of having Dirt Norco rider Dan Stanbridge take the stress away and give us a lift to Fort William, a big thanks to him for getting it done and keeping us amused on the travels. It’s always good to be at Fort William for a national event, proper downhill on a man’s track. Round 1 was on a track with a winning time of 2:25, the winning time at Fort William was 4:52… I think that says it all.

Hart was in town and we had a few extra faces like that of D-Riff and Thibaut Ruffin making it feel like a mini World Cup. The sun was out for Saturdays practice session in the morning and the riders were looking quick! The track was as fast and rough as ever, seeding was later that day so practice was cut short and stopped at around 3:00.

Marc Beaumont on his way to second place.

Seeding began which then soon became the race with Sunday’s event being cancelled, a one day race at Fort William sounds nuts but to be fair to Si and the organisers they did pull it off. Danny Hart winning the men’s and Manon Carpenter taking the women’s by just over a second from Rachel Atherton.

Keep an eye out for the Eyesdown Films video with Manon coming very soon, it will give you a little insight to why she has been pinning it lately.
