Good weather conditions blessed the King Of The Castle 2010, where spectators lined the streets of the medieval town of Cagliari to see David Vasquez (Mondraker) take the win and complete his race run in 1.11.07.
Second place was taken by Dario Zampieri (Vigor Pro Line Cuneo) with a 1'12.00. He had the best time during the first heat but unfortunately he crashed during the second heat few meters before the finish line. Bruno Zanchi (team Axo/Pro-Gest) took third place for the men. The faster women was Emmeline Ragot (Suspension Centre) with 1'18.91, with Sabrina Jonnier (Maxxis/Rocky Mountain) with 1'19.11 taking second and for Katy Curd (Rose Bikes) taking third.

80 riders took part in the event, a big success for the organisation. The King Of The Castle will return in 2011 stronger and better. The track and the feedback of all the riders showed the high level of organisation for the event. For one day the old town of Cagliari was the stage of a top class downhill race.
