3 Good/3 Bad - Week 3
18 October 2013 | By AngusMcIntosh | 2 CommentsThe number one not necessarily mountain bike related weekly round up from a mountain bike magazine is back! Check out 3 Good / 3 Bad from Angus's week...
Good
Riding fast with your friends.
Last weekend was the first time in a long while I was able to get back out on the bike and ride properly. Slay some of my favourite local trails for the day and not see a single soul.
Turns were smashed, roost was scattered, rock horns were thrown and a good time was had by all! I’m hoping for more of the same throughout the winter! #Braaaaaap
Live Music
I don’t get out anywhere near as often as I would like to go and enjoy music of the live variety. Being so far down in the deep South West not many of the bigger bands make the trip all the way down to play in the limited venues that Exeter has to offer. This week however, a personal favourite of mine “Canterbury” made the trip down to the Cavern. It’s a dingy, smelly little venue hidden in some back streets (which probably is part of the reason no good bands come to Exeter!)
Canterbury were amazing and it reminded me why I should make the effort to go and see more music!
The Friday playlist Week 3.
Just a snippet of some of the tunes that have been getting me through the working week. Highlights from this weeks 10 come from Canterbury, Manchester Orchestra and Macklemore + Ryan Lewis.

Bad.
Getting dog poo in your pedals and shoes.
This week I was out for a ride testing the Pyga One Twenty 650b, which we’ll be reviewing in the coming few weeks at the local trail centre. The trails were running sweet and to my surprise I was feeling surprisingly fit considering I’ve had so much time off the bike.
I don’t think I can think of much worse than looking down at your feet and seeing dog poo oozing from under your foot. I love dogs as much as the next guy but owners… Be responsible, carry bags and clean it up!
Slipping a pedal and blasting your shin.
No matter how many times you do it. It still sucks.
I think was about the only thing that put a dampener on my ride last weekend. Dropping off a fire road on a fast section traversing the hill I thought I could squeak in a quick spin of the pedals only to hit my pedal on a stump firing it backwards into my shin.
I was almost tempted to get the 661 Storm trooper pads out from way back in the day…
Rampage being over for this year.
It’s one of those events where I dread during the run up but for the first time in a long while watching the TV, I was out of my chair screaming!
Cam Zink and Kelly McGarry take a bow!
That’s pretty much every big event tied up for 2013 (After this weekends enduro)! It’s been a good year but I can’t wait for 2014!

Luckily it wasn't the same pedals! That would be absolutely horrible.
