It was such a blast last year that we're really stoked to be returning to the Cliffhanger festival again for a Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE) race! And with over 12,000 people attending the festival over the weekend, riders can expect lots of heckling and cheering as they go elbow to elbow around the purpose built course!
Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE) races are the newest discipline on the block, combining the speed and intensity of 4-Cross, with the tactics and endurance of XC. Using a 400m-800m length XC course and a knock-out format, each 4 minute heat (moto) sees 6-8 riders going head to head, with your results from the heats determining the top 16 riders who progress to the knockout rounds, until the field is whittled down to 8 riders to contest the final and take the win - the perfect lung opener for the series! You don't need a race license to take part and the series attracts everyone from first-timers to seasoned Olympians!
