2014 Midlands MTB Series - Round 1

Round 1 of the 2014 series takes place at Ringwood Park in Chesterfield. Hosted by Matlock CC, we're kicking off the 2014 season with a Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE) race!

Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE) races are the newest discipline on the block, combining the speed and intensity of 4-Cross, with the tactics and endurance of XC. Using a 400m-800m length XC course and a knock-out format, each 4 minute heat (moto) sees 6-8 riders going head to head, with your results from the heats determining the top 16 riders who progress to the knockout rounds, until the field is whittled down to 8 riders to contest the final and take the win - the perfect lung opener for the series! You don't need a race license to take part and the series attracts everyone from first-timers to seasoned Olympians!

Please note this event takes place on a Saturday and there is a strict rider limit due to the format.
