Kick off the 2027 MTB East season with Round 1 at Potash Woods near Hockley, Essex.
MTB East is a friendly grassroots cross-country mountain bike race series designed to get riders of all ages and abilities racing. Whether you're an experienced XC racer or thinking about entering your first mountain bike race, the series offers competitive but welcoming racing in a relaxed atmosphere.
Potash Woods is a regular fixture on the MTB East calendar, with previous races featuring fast, flowing singletrack alongside more technical woodland sections. Course layouts can change between rounds, helping to keep the racing fresh for returning riders.
MTB East caters for young riders through to adult racers, with youth categories starting from U7 and racing continuing through to adult Elite categories.
Round 1 is the perfect opportunity to get the 2027 race season underway, test yourself against other riders and enjoy a day of grassroots mountain bike racing in Essex.
