You don’t have to cross continents to find the edge. The London Orbital Gravel Challenge is London’s local ultra — a 360 km loop that pushes through woodland, farmland, and forgotten backroads to circle the city in one relentless, beautiful line.

It’s everything you expect from an ultra-gravel ride — isolation, exhaustion, and the quiet satisfaction of endurance — all hidden in plain sight, just beyond the M25.
The Ride

• 360 km of mixed terrain — from chalk trails and forest singletrack to rough farm lanes and river paths.
• 4,400 m of elevation — a brutal reminder that London’s outskirts are anything but flat.
• 30 climbs — steep, sharp, and stacked against you.
• Self-supported — no feed zones, no support car, no shortcuts.
• Start/Finish: Greenwich. One full loop. One simple rule: complete the circle.

Legends of the Loop

Last year, only two riders made it round.
This year, five riders completed the full 360 km in under 22 hours — a testament to what’s possible when grit outlasts sleep.

They rode through dusk and dawn, over gravel, mud and tarmac, carving their names into London’s wildest challenge.
