Welcome to 321 Racing at Bike Park Kernow.
What is 321 racing?
- It's a low stakes racing format. It's a fun way of racing, cheering (heckling) is compulsory
- There is a short DH style track.
- Each rider gets 1 hour to practice followed by 2 timed runs.
- Timing is done by means of allocated start times and you are counted in (Hence 321 racing) If you are late for your start time, the clock will be ticking regardless...
This is racing with a twist, here's how it differs from normal racing:
- You enter individually, however on the day, your name will be placed in a draw when you sign in.
- There are no categories for this race, everyone is racing each other.
- It is a 'team race'
- After the 1 hour practice session, there will be a random draw. 2 riders names will be drawn to form a 'team'
- Both riders fastest times will be added together after both runs to give your final result.
- There will be podium places for the fastest 3 teams including prizes.
There will also be prizes for the best Christmas themed fancy dress costumes. (you must race in your costumes to be in the running for these prizes) So get creative with those ideas.
Tickets are strictly limited to 40 places and must be purchased in advance through ticket tailor.
This event is for adults over the age of 18.
Each race entry includes a complimentary drink and mince pie
Format for the day:
09:00am- Sign on and track walk
10:00am-11:00am- Practice.
11:15am- Team draw and rider briefing
11:30-1:30pm- Race runs (you will be given specific start times on the day for your 2 runs)
2:00pm- Podiums
3:00pm- Site closes
