Hope PMBA Enduro 5 - Kirroughtree

Kirroughtree, this is our “family round” with great camping facilities, permanent showers and toilets and a course that’s just pure fun.  What the venues lacks in elevation it makes up for in loam & bedrock. Each year we return to find that the team from the Galloway Hillbillies have built us new stages with virgin loam. We still reuse some classics, mixing trail and off piste sections for a selection that can be enjoyed by all, the stoke meter is always on high here.

A grass roots round that the fastest also enjoy, it has everything an enduro should have and has become an unmissable round of the PMBA Enduro series with many calling it their favourite. We’ll be using the mashup format just like 2021/2 and for all the 1 day events.

Often racers will bring the whole family, as the idyllic camping area and permanent brick shower/toilet block gives a holiday vibe; enhanced by the smells from many BBQ’s in the evening. Late in the year, September is not overly problematic with the midges either – but still come prepared!

Another packed weekend of Enduro for all, WMN and Academy on the Saturday, and the final of the main enduro series on the Sunday. Introducing a little off piste action to the Academy and WMN Series, and minimising overlap between the Saturday and Sunday courses will no doubt see the camp HQ spreading out into the overflow camping if our new grassroots series is as popular as we hope. The original home of the U10’s free enduro will again see a swarm of balance bikes down the “taster loop” while the older ones furiously pedal. Sunday’s enduro will take on technical off piste, and make sure you haven’t forgotten how to pedal. With the final’s points having to count, those pushing for the series class podiums will have had to master a wide range of enduro styles and venues through the year for a much deserved title.
