New Forest MTB Race RD2 of Southern XC 2021

The SouthernXC MTB Race Series is an annual British Cycling regional championships that has a long history, stretching back for over 20 years.

We focus on making Mountain Bike Racing fun, fair, accessible and enjoyable for all who want to join us. We try to design courses that are “easy to ride but hard to ride fast” for anyone with some basic mountain biking skills. Whether you are a seasoned XC racer or your new to riding mountain bikes, we hope you’ll have a blast at a SouthernXC MTB Race.

We have categories for everyone, with British Cycling national ranking points available in many. If it’s your first time racing your mountain bike then have a look at the Fun or Open categories.

The Course

This SouthernXC venue is a firm favourite often being voted course of the year by riders.

The estate is full of great variety, with everything from flat twisty turns, to short punchy climbs and flowing loam covered descents. It really is amazing how many different trail surfaces are available throughout the lap

There's plenty of short stretches of gravel road to break up all the amazing singletrack and allow you to have a drink and a rest, or get the power down depending on your preference.
