Glorious Gravel: Peak District - West

Starting & finishing in charming Buxton, this ride takes in some of the most picturesque parts of the Peak District with a route on gravel tracks for 60% & quiet lanes for 40%.

In 81km you will ride both tarmac & gravel climbs, follow Rive Dove and explore parts of the Peaks most people never see. The ride starts sharply with a gravel climb straight from the off on the Old Macclesfield Road and stays lumpy for most of the first 30km. The second half of the ride is easier with some spectacular scenery around Hartlington and 10km of relatively flat terrain before a lumpy last 5km. At the finish, we have a social pint or coffee to celebrate the day before heading home.
