For the first round of the 2020 series, we will be revisiting Haldon Forest Park and neighbouring woodlands. Haldon’s popularity for outdoor pursuits has given local trail builders the space they need to create some of the finest MTB trails in the South West. This makes Haldon an easy choice to have on the race roster this year.
Our event arena and parking will be located at Exeter Race Course, giving us the best starting point for a truly epic race and a great day’s ride.
The racecourse will be taped and signed with marked stages; leaving no hidden surprises for new comers and removing any locals’ advantage where possible.
Our headline sponsor, Kenda Tires, will be at the event, providing information about the new tech that goes into their products, as well as other trade stands and brand representatives.
Will anyone be able to knock our series overall winners from last year, Ross Hancock and Rachel Manning, off the top box this March? We can’t say but we are excited to find out!
This racecourse consists of four descent-based stages, with (non-timed) transition routes between them. Each rider is given a unique start time. Times are not strict but riders must stay in their category time slots and with a 30 second gap between each rider on stage. This event caters for all levels of availability from novice to pro.
- Sign On from 8:00am til 11:00am.
- Riders' Briefing at 8.45am.
- Practice at 9:00am.
- Race starts at 11:45am from arena.
Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category.
Food, drink and restrooms are onsite.
See you on the hill. HAP.
