This is the fifth event hosted by the Lulworth Estate under the supervision of the Lulworth Ranger team.
There has been a major change from past events. For 2020 there will be two routes (35.7km and 55.5km) entirely based on the Lulworth Estate. This will make the best use of all available trails on the estate, including some areas not seen by this event in the past. Unlike previous events where the longer route has gone off of the estate and utilised a substantial amount of road to access more public bridleways towards Corfe Castle, this years longer route will pass near to the finish line of the short route where riders will have the option of a second feed station and then continue on much of the route used for the shorter ride but will spur off to create a slightly shorter second loop.
This will in no way impact the enjoyment of the event as we believe in providing a quality event with excellent value for money.
If you experience any mechanical difficulties on route our roaming mechanic will be with you as fast as the winding roads and speed limits permit.
The route crosses its way through some of the most dramatic scenery in Dorset, with everything from long views along the Jurassic Coast, to wild flower meadows and 18th Century follies. The route itself also takes advantage of the unique access across many permissive bridleways owned and managed by the Lulworth Estate.
The beauty of the route should help to numb that tired feeling in your thighs as you ascend some punishing hills, all of which are rewarded with fast-flowing descents.
