IMPORTANT: To the best of our knowledge the details provided are accurate at the time of listing. However, as with any outdoor event of this type, there can always be unforeseen circumstances that will lead to changes or cancellations. For all demo days, please check with the organiser directly to confirm the event is going ahead, timing, location, bike availability and any other additional detail.
Muckmaiden Days are held a couple of weeks before each Muckmedden event to give female riders the chance to enjoy a social ride on the trails that will be used in the upcoming race, or get some professional coaching in a female-specific environment.
Guided Ride – Please note: This is not a coaching session, if you wish to receive skills coaching you should book into a “Coaching Session”.
Muckmaiden Guided Rides are an opportunity for female mountain bikers to go for a led-ride under the guidance of a British Cycling Level 2 MTB Guide. These rides are very social so you will often stop to chat, re-group and check-out at any technical features before you decide whether you want to ride them or not. It’s a great way to meet new riding buddies and find new trails!
We have kept the cost of entry down to just £15.00 for non-racers and just £5.00* for female 6hour race entrants! *Use the discount code: muckmaidenpitmedden when purchasing your Guided Ride ticket.
Skills Coaching is provided by Progression Bikes and is perfect for any female riders looking to brush up on their bike handling skills and build their confidence out on the trails. The session will concentrate on any specific areas you’d like to improve on, such as riding drop-offs, off-camber corners, or slippery roots. The cost is just £35 per person and includes the smug satisfaction of knowing you’re now a better rider than when you started.
