Trailquests (Mountain Bike Orienteering) is for anyone who loves being outdoors, likes a challenge, enjoys riding new areas and wants friendly low key events. You can take part if you have a bicycle, a helmet, and a team mate!
Teams take part in the same event and course, and each rides to their own chosen limit. You can stop and enjoy the views, take a photo or two, or ride your legs off, you choose.
Competitors can start between 09:30 and 10:30. Once you 'dib-in' you are given a laminated map with 20 controls. The controls range in points from 10 to 50. On the back of the map are clues relating to each control. You then have 3 hours to get as many points as possible. You choose which controls you want to visit and in any order / route you wish to take. But remember for every minute you are late you lose 5 points!
Teams (of pairs) can be male, female or mixed. You can start anytime between 09:30 and 10:30, and each team has 3 hours to gain as many points as possible.
Whilst there is a competitive element our Trailquest events have 2 aims: 1. You have FUN and 2. You are SAFE.
Refreshments available back at the Event HQ for the usual post event banter!
