Round 1 of the North Coast Trailquest Series for 2017 / 2018 will be from Portballintrae Boat Club (down at the harbour) on Sunday 8th October.

Trailquests or Mountain Bike Orienteering is for anyone who loves being outdoors, likes a challenge, enjoys riding new areas and wants friendly low key events. You can take part if you have a bicycle, a helmet, and a team mate!

Teams (of pairs) can be male, female or mixed and take part in the same event and course, each rides to their own chosen limit. You can stop and enjoy the views or ride your legs off, you choose.

You are given a 1:50000 Map with 20 controls. The controls range in points from 10 to 50. You have 3 hours to get as many points as possible. You choose which ones and which route you wish to take. But remember for every minute you are late you lose 5 points!

Sign on from 09:00 with the start open between 09:30 - 10:30.
