Sprint Event – £25, £30 OTD – 2 hours, using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many checkpoints as possible within the time. Starting on foot, there will be one transition to Mountain Bikes. Enter more than 2 weeks before and pay £21. Minimum age to take part is 8 accompanied or 16 unaccompanied. You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit and in what order. You will lose 1 point for each 30s you are late coming back. All checkpoints are worth 10 points each. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited. Distance covered can be anything from 15km to around 20+km, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, as well as your running/MTB and map reading skills. Registration opens at 8.30am to give competitors time to collect their maps and to plan their strategy and routes. Experience Event £40, £45 OTD – 4 hours, using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many checkpoints as possible within the time.
