This new and exciting 8 round winter series adds a new dimension to endurance racing. Run over five weekends with the course changing on each round, the riders are given a greater variety.
This 8 round series will be run on a competitive basis with riders in all classes being timed using our ‘race result’ timing system. Each class will be awarded 25 points for a win, 24 for second, 23 for third and so on down to 1 point for 25th place. To qualify for overall points you must compete in a minimum of 5 rounds.
With this new 8 round series we understand your constraints on travel and time and therefore only 7 out of the 8 rounds will count towards your overall score, allowing you to drop your worst result.
Where there are two events over a weekend, the course on the second day will be different to the first.
Event Guide
All our events will be run under British Cycling guidelines with the supervision of British Cycling Commissaries with all our Enduro style meetings will be on a non-ranking bases.
Rules and Regulations:
The winners will be decided by either the most laps completed in the given time or in the case of a tie the quickest time achieved will be classed as the winner.
G8 Events must insist that riders do not dispose of any litter out on the course. There will be specific drop areas around the track.
Unsporting behaviour, foul and abusive language, course cutting and cheating of any kind will NOT be tolerated. If this is reported then that rider/riders if solo, or the whole team will be disqualified from the race.
All riders must wear a helmet when riding their bikes, including warm up and riding around all other areas.
Finally, we would strongly recommend all competitors study the BC rules for MTB racing
