The WHEELBASE BIG DEMO WEEKEND IS BACK! Now in it’s 8th successful year. Over 120 bikes from 10 of the World’s best mountain bike manufacturers will be rocking up at our site in Staveley Mill Yard LA8 9LR for the UK’s largest MTB demo weekend from the UK’s largest cycle store.
All demo rides are professionally guided by CycleActive, the UK’s leading mountain bike guiding, skills and holiday company over the natural trails of the Kentmere Valley in The English Lake District.
BIG DEMO rides need to be booked in advance through this website ONLY. A day at the BIG DEMO WEEKEND costs £10, an absolute bargain to demo upto 3 bikes in one day, head-to-head, back-to-back.
Everyone is welcome from beginners to experts and guided rides are split into graded groups; beginner, intermediate (2 groups) and expert. Riders leave at 10am, 12noon and 2pm each day and last about 1hr 15mins. The 2pm Expert ride is a ‘Grand tour of Kentmere’.
THE BIG DEMO WEEKEND is always popular and the hot bikes fill-up fast so DO NOT DELAY booking your ride.
