Video & Race Report: 2019 TweedLove Vallelujah Enduro

4 April 2019  |

The Tweed Valley race season kicked off two weeks ago with 550 riders taking to the trails for TweedLove’s ‘Vallelujah’ enduro. Riders travelled from all over the country to participate and got a weekend of sunshine and top Tweed Valley hospitality over the course of the two-day event held at Glentress, Peebles. The event was a complete sell out with riders still trying to grab entries up until the day of.

The 25km course through Glentress forest took racers down four timed stages. The course used some of the best enduro trails in Glentress and proved a tough enough challenge for even the top guns who turned out for some Tweed Valley shredding. Team Scotland Commonwealth Games athlete Isla Short and three-time World Enduro Champion Tracy Moseley were in the mix with T-Mo taking the lead for the females. For the males, it was local star Ben Balfour who stole the show, delivering on the promise he's shown over the last few years, but coming back after a year out injured. One to watch for sure.
