VIDEO: BUCS 2011 X.C Carnage!

This past weekend saw the BUCS 2011 Mountain Bike Championships take place at Moelfre, North Wales. Joe Bowman from 'This Is Sheffield' was there to capture all the carnage from the XC race! It was a class track, uphill was crazy difficult but that downhill was rad, even if i did go over my bars on one occasion. Don't think there were many who did nt :D

Was such a good weekend and Ems won the DH!!!! GO UWIC (and to think we only had 4 people, and got 1st and 6th)!!!! Cant wait to see where its held next year, might even enter XC just to show them how to ride down a hill.....

LMAO! put your bloody saddles down, stop buying 3 gram saving titanium bottle cages, Tires that 'maintain a better overall rolling reisitance so you can maximise your uphill climb' (but dont grip) and learn to ride a bike.

the bit that makes me laugh is the guy in the crowd who just rings the frame at the crashed people rather than helping. there is hope for humanity!

Every single XC race I watched is like this. Even at the top level. I'm wondering if XC is just for people who can't ride bikes.

Off you go then boys. Next time there's an xc race round you way, borrrow a bike, whack the seat right up and see how you get on.

I think this shows how people get into mountain biking. Most people buy an xc bike and think they can ride a bike so it'll be straight forward enough to ride one off road. It's not so easy though, and when faced with a fast steep corner like that one you can really see who knows what they're doing. Looks like the crowd loved it.

It might look easy on a video but then most things look easier than they are. That hill is seriously steep, off camber and loose. You can see this by the fact that some people couldn't stop sliding down even when sitting on the ground. The fact that pretty much everyone came off indicates that it wasn't just bad riders.
