Rocky Mountain distributors Silverfish UK, announced today its signing of Scott Beaumont for the 2006 season. Scott will be racing for Rocky Mountain UK in the World Cup series, UK National series and select grass roots events in both Downhill and 4X in 2006.
Clearly happy with the deal, Scott said: 'I am so excited to be racing for Rocky Mountain this year. I have tested the RMX downhill bike and the Flow hardtail which I will be racing on this year and they are amazing. It is a return to DH and 4X racing for Rocky Mountain after a few years away. Their XC and freeride teams are some of the best in the world, and I hope I can do a great job for them at the DH and 4X races this year. Especially as 2006 is Rocky Mountain's 25th anniversary'.
Darren Mabbott from Silverfish added: 'We have always been big fans of Scott's at Silverfish and have previously supported him with Race Face components. Expanding our sponsorship agreement and getting Boom Boom onto Rocky Mountain bicycles should be a huge boost for the brand in the UK. Rocky Mountain are already well served on the world XC circuit with current Olympic Silver medalist Marie Helene Premont, and have a phenomenal presence on the freeride scene with the original freeride pioneers Wade Simmons and Richie Schley, as well as Rocky ripper Thomas Vanderham. Signing a World Class 4 X rider to the roster completes the picture.
