Riding High UK (www.ridinghighuk.com) will now be distributing the unique GravityDropper range of products within the UK. We will be working with some of the UK's best local retailers to make the current posts - Descender and Classic - accessible and also introducing the new 'Turbo' post, with a super-fast action and featuring multi-drop position. GravityDropper was introduced in 2003, specializing in mechanical "on the fly" adjustable height seatposts. All posts are high quality, high performance units, being manufactured and assembled in-house in Montana, USA. GravityDropper credit their success to a great, dependable product and strive to offer premier customer service. + There are 3 different models - Descender, GravityDropper Classic and the new GravityDropper Turbo. + They are available in 3 different drops. A person can order a 2-inch, 3-inch, or a 4-inch drop. + All posts come in a standard up/down format or with a multi-position (3 positions). Posts are engineered with the belief that knowing where you are, is more important than having an infinite number of positions. + All models are locked so when your post is in the up position, it will not change. Same with the down position, the post will only raise up when you activate it. + With length options from 275-425mm available, it’s possible to further reduce unwanted weight. + Posts come in 27.2 diameter as standard, with shims for larger sizes + GravityDropper posts are mechanical which means they use a spring that has a rating of 10 million cycles. There is no air, or pumping - no seals to leak or oil to blow out of. It is very easy to take the inside tube out and clean, taking 30 seconds to perform. When the post slides up and down only the plastic tube touches aluminum. This is an incredible feature for two reasons: 1) The post wears the plastic first so if side-to-side play develops, simply swap out for new plastic shims and it’s like brand new. 2) Very easy and cheap to install the new plastic shims over servicing an air counterpart and replacing seals etc. + All modules are CNC machined mostly out of 7075 T-6 aluminum. Because so many lengths and drops are on offer, each post is made to fit you, the way you ride and the type of bike you ride. The first delivery is on its way so get down to your favourite RHUK stockist and get one ordered up in time for Mega Avalanche and Enduro season. Wayne from GravityDropper explains the simplicity of his product here at Interbike in 2007. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-6sGeYishc4 www.ridinghighuk.com
