Lopes nominated for MTB Hall Of Fame

The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame was started in 1988 with the mission to preserve the history of the sport. A physical museum can be found in Crested Butte, Colorado and each year between three to seven individuals or groups are inducted.
Nominees are divided into 6 categories; advocacy, industry, journalism, pioneers, promotion and racing history. Brian Lopes was nominated for "racing history". If inducted he will join the ranks of Hans Rey, Alison Syder, Tinker Juarez and Thomas Frischnecht.

The voting is done by past inductees and current MTB Hall of Fame members who will receive ballots come JUNE to make the final vote on the nominees.
