31 January 2013 | By AngusMcIntosh | 1 CommentIn our weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Name: Taylor Williams
Age: 21
Location: North Nibley - Gloucster
Bike: Trek Session 9.9
Interesting fact about yourself: I'm American!
How long have you been riding?
It's been about 8 years on and off.
How often do you ride?
As often as I possibly can... Whatever the weather
What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
I'm currently riding a Trek Session 9.9 carbon using Sram components throughout, the bike was set up by Harry Heath and his mechanic. All I have done is speed up the rebound up a little.
What types of riding do you normally do?
Mainly downhill through the winter. I'm waiting to receive my XC bike and road bike for 2013. I'm looking into purchasing another hardtail for riding trails with the boys during the summer, It's almost more fun than riding downhill.
What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
A set of Renthal handlebars with 38mm rise to bring the front end up abit for me.
What are your local trails?
North Nibley is my favorite place to ride, I met a great bunch of guys when I was riding there and we went to school together... The rest is history.
What's your favourite part on your bike?
It's gotta be the super strong carbon fibre frame
What's the next upgrade you have planned for the bike?
A different set of wheels to try and get the weight down even lighter.
What other bikes do you own?
Just my downhill bike for the moment, but not for long haha!
Any last words for us?
Make sure you check out Delta bikes , its my local shop. The mechanics and customer service is absolutely fa-nominal, and also Factory Pink Clothing, a great shirt printer and custom clothing brand for riders by riders!
Cheers @TayWilliams_91
