Locals

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Richard Bartlett
Location: Plymouth
Job: Materials Engineer
Bike: Ragley Blue Pig X7

How long have you been riding?
I've been riding mountain bikes for 2 years now, but I've been road riding for about 5.

How often do you ride?
I cycle commute every day to work and I try and get out on the mountain bike about once a month.

What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
The bike is as I bought it really. Completely stock. As the name suggests its kitted out with all Sram X7 drivetrain on it, Rockshox Sektors and Hayes Stroker Brakes in this great Orange colour! I put my clipless pedals on it as I ride clipped in but that's about it.

What types of riding do you normally do?
Almost all trail and cross country riding really.

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
The last new bit of gear was the whole bike as its completely stock but my next upgrade will probably be the forks. I have my eye on a pair from Fox, which I know is a bit of a brand name but they seem like a really good set of forks.

What are your local trails?
My local trails are up here at Haldon.
