In our new weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

How Often do you ride?
Usually at least one local XC ride a week and dirt jumping at the local BMX track or trails. Then ride downhill on weekends.

What Bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up??
Currently riding a 2012 Demo 8. I have got it set up with Shimano Saint running gear and Hope components. RockShox Boxxers are up front. Its quite a standard set up no super slack head angles or anything fancy, I just like to run my suspension a bit stiffer.

What types of riding do you normally do?
All types. As long as its two wheels, be it motor or pedal. I love it.

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
A Shimano Sora road rear mech! As I snapped my Saint one, I needed a cheap option for the time being. It shifts well for £26.99, bargain!

What are your local trails?
Local trails are Haldon Forest, a couple of other secret spots. I would say Gawton is a local too as we make the hour long trip down there often.

Whats Your favourite part on the bike?
My Hope direct mount stem!

Next upgrade planned for the bike?
Black stanchions for my Boxxers, ti spring for my Cane Creek Double Barrel shock, maybe ten speed Saint.

What other bikes do you own?
I also own an old school Specialized Hemi BMX which I picked up at the tip for £3! An Intense 5.5 (actually my Dads but I use for trail riding). Do motorbikes count? If so Gas Gas 250cc trials bike and Yamaha PW50.
