Name: David Parry
Age:42
Location:Birmingham
Bike: Jamis Durango Race 2012
How long have you been riding?
I'm relatively new to mountain biking. I’ve been riding for 8 months now and love it.
How often do you ride?
Not as often as I would like... I'm currently riding once or twice per week.
What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
I’m riding a 26” Jamis Durango Race hardtail. I’ve replaced the rear mech to a SRAM X9 with a carbon cage and running it's running 10 speed. I swapped out the standard pedals to Superstar Nano’s and replaced the handlebars with Fatboy Funn and reduced my headset from 110 to 80 to give more control.
What types of riding do you normally do?
Singletrack and Downhill stuff I guess.
What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
The last new bit of gear were the Superstar Grips.
What are your local trails?
Cannock Chase, Hopton Castle and the Long Mynd.
What's your favourite part on your bike?
It's gotta be my new handle bars and stem.
What's the next upgrade you have planned for the bike?
Probably change the rear tyre to a Schwalbe Nobby Nic.
What other bikes do you own?
I don't have any other bikes at the moment.
