LOCALS - Tom Everett: Norco Aurum 1
31 December 2013 | By AngusMcIntoshOur popular LOCALS feature is back, this week we catch up with Tom Everett who rides a Norco Aurum for downhill duties & a Mondraker Foxy for everything else!
Name: Tom Everett
Location: Exford, Minehead
Job: full time Sport student!
Bike: Norco Aurum 1 2012
How long have you been riding?
Been riding for about 3 years properly, but since I could walk really!
How often do you ride?
No way near as much as I would like, every weekend usually.
What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
At the moment I’m riding a Norco Aurum 1 2012, bike is a large and nothing on the bike is stock bar the cranks and shock. Got my 2010 fox 40’s with a rock shox vivid shock, red industry nine wheel set, Shimano slx brakes and ice tech rotors, Sram xo gears and Renthal fatbars.
What types of riding do you normally do?
Mainly ride cross country/all Mountain, not many DH tracks I can easily get too unfortunately!
What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
Hmm, think it was the ice tech rotors and SLX brakes.
What are your local trails?
Avil ball, Bratton, Dunkery, Combe Sydenham
What's your favourite part on your bike?
Have to be the wheels, super light, make an incredibly irritating noise and look sick!!

What other bikes do you own?
I’ve also got a Mondraker Foxy R 2012 that I mainly ride as the lack of downhill trails sucks!
