Eric Carter joins Utopia Optics in 2007

Utopia Optics is pleased to announce the addition of American mountain bike hero Eric Carter to the 2007 team! Carter joins Utopia's family this season as an essential part of our program. Carter' stature in the mountain bike community solidifies the fact that the Utopia mountain bike program is one of the best & most coveted programs around. Carter will be representing Utopia Optics worldwide at a variety of mountain bike events, including the NORBA Nationals, World Cups, Sea Otter Classic, World Cup series, select Mega Avalanche races, as well as the World Championships. Although recently regarded as a 4-Cross/MtnX specialist, Carter plans to compete for the coveted NORBA and US titles in both Mtn X and Downhill disciplines! n his earlier years, Carter was one of the fastest bmx racers around. As a multi-time national & world bmx champion, Carter is regarded as a legend in the sport of bmx. As he stepped up into mountain bike racing, his fierceness and competitive nature never lingered. Carter continued to dominate as he won countless national and world cup championships from disciplines ranging from Dual Slalom, Dual, Mountain Cross, 4-Cross and Downhill. One of his most recent career highlights includes his gold medal winning battle in the 2004 4-Cross World Championships in Les Gets, France Carter has taken upon the responsibilities as team manager for the factory Mongoose professional mountain bike team, as well as the Mongoose Tribe regional teams.
