Once a popular South West downhill race venue back in the nineties, racing is set to return Ashcombe near Exeter in 2019!

Organiser Greg Berry recently posted the following statement on their Facebook page:

"Pretty blown away by the amount of interest this page has had since opening at the start of the week. I’ve had lots of people message for more details and info etc... so here it is.

We are bringing back downhill racing to Ashcombe. Except this time it will be in a different part of the woods with a bit more elevation. The track will be suitable for everyone, around a minute in length and have lots of different features (roots, berms, small jumps) but mostly will be a load of fun.

There is no set date yet as we need to work them around other events but it will most like be in May with entries opening in February.

Work on the track begins soon and we will post regular updates with what we’re up too. Please be aware that Ashcombe Wood is private land there is to be no riding there before or after any events. Doing so will jeopardise the running of the event and you will not be lining up at the start. Plus there isn’t anything to ride in there anyway."

We will keep you updated with some teaser pictures and videos of the tracks over the coming months but in the meantime give there Facebook and Instagram pages a follow.
