BikePark Wales launches NEW full top to bottom red tech trail!

18 September 2025  |

BikePark Wales has a brand new red trail, Ych a Fi, is a red-graded, natural tech trail serving up a real mix of terrain.

We invited Alex Storr, well known for his loose, effortless style, to be the first to ride Ych a Fi. Teaming up with Tommy C behind the lens, the two set out to capture an edit that highlights the trail’s raw, natural terrain, giving you a true taste of what to expect from this exciting new addition to the park.

Starting next to Boomslang and finishing onto the bottom of Watts Occurring, taking you straight back to the uplift, ready for your next run!

Ych a Fi is spicy, technical and natural, serving up a real mix of terrain. Expect steeper, tighter lines through the trees, loose off-camber traverses, twisting corners, root gardens and for the first time ever at BikePark Wales, North Shore features!

The North Shore is hand-made by our awesome team of trail crew and created from home grown timber using trees that had to be removed due to disease. These North Shore sections are not only a fresh challenge for riders but also a sustainable way of reusing otherwise wasted timber. You might see more of these features popping up around the park in the near future!

Due to the natural terrain of this trail, you can expect it to change constantly over the seasons, in the coming winter months, brace yourself for mud, slick roots and ruts. Come summer, you’ll be rewarded with grippy dirt and loam. Sitting at the tougher end of our red trails, Ych a Fi isn’t for the faint-hearted, this one’s built for riders who are ready for a loose, technical and seriously fun ride!
