A new era for Mountain Biking at Poldice Valley, Cornwall
Today | By billy1979For some time The Cornwall Bicycle Project been working alongside other members of the Wheal Maid Solutions Group, Gwennap Parish Council (who own the land) and Mei Loci, specialist Landscape Architects and Consultants, to develop a strategic vision for the future of the Wheal Maid Valley, the area most people here know simply as ‘Poldice’.
The proposals focus on:
- Providing an exciting and multi skill off road cycling Hub
- Enhancing leisure access for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and families
- Protecting and celebrating the unique landscape, heritage and ecology
It’s now time to now share these emerging plans with the community and to hear your thoughts.
There will be a drop-in session @ Crofthandy Village Hall on Wednesday 21st January from 2:00pm onwards where you can view the plans and speak with:
- Parish Councillors
- Mei Loci representatives
- Members of the Wheal Maid Solutions Group
This is your opportunity to help shape the future of Poldice so if you want to find out more and have your voice heard, drop in on the 21st.

Poldice Valley Trails
Poldice Valley mountain bike trails are bang in the middle of cornwall. It is just off the carnon downs to portreath trail. There are all sorts of riding here, from a dirt area which is always changing (mars) to DH tracks that people keep evolving.
