Hi mate I used a Lizard skins shock cover, you just leave half of the velcro undone. 8) http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4779

i know! its a shame cos it really is a great product but pretty unheard of even in the US it seems and in the right hands could be big over here. i think its a pretty small company, cos when i emailed them to tech or sales you get a reply from Laurie their the company president, great guy too, very helpful

it is nice to be able to get it right down to the clamp out of the way, make the bike almost feel like a bmx and much more chuckable. i'm just over 6ft so actually use the full range as well. the post was something like £220 but by the time i paid extra for express shipping and then got stung by customs when it arrived in the UK it set me back not far from 300. but i gotta say expensive as it was it's worth every penny

it goes right down to the seat clamp and extends 9" which is just the right max height for me. you can stop it at 20 points inbetween and set a lower max height if you were shorter

it was absolutely incredible, done the Afan trails then hit Cwmcarn on the way back. the seatpost was perfect and made a bigger difference to my riding than i was even expecting. not just for the climbs but the way down was so much faster and more confident with the seat right out the way. there's a little bit of sideways freeplay in it but you dont feel or notice it when you are on the bike and it dont rattle around like i thought it would. i really dont know how i ever rode without one. very happy with it

Hi, just thought I'd update you on the problems I've been having with my Compulsion. Turns out my Equilink bolts are in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the frame seems to have been serviced by a monkey at some point. One of the proper shaped washers that sit between the frame and the Equilink has been replaced with a standard flat washer. This is what has been causing the play in my frame and has completely ruined the needle bearings in the Equilink strut. The good news is these are cheap as anything and straightforward to replace. Bad news is I can't find the correct washers anywhere. Any ideas on who might have them? Google is a bit rubbish and I'd rather not get them from Felt as they'll probably charge much more than what some nylon washers should cost. Such a shame though because the frame definitely punches way above it's weight when it comes to riding with more expensive and "better" framed bikes.

got the Black Mamba this morning just in time for my wales trip tomorrow where that 9" of remote adjusment is going to be very useful. really impressed with it, excellent quality, works really well and actually looks a lot better on the bike than i was expecting it to

no worries, will let you know once it arrives. i'm off to Afan this weekend so hopefully it gets here in time for a good test run. i'n theory it could be excellent but i have a feeling its going to rattle around and be a little on the crude designed side. we shall see
