the wifes ok with it, just bad timing. i should of though of it earlier in the year. will see how i go for time off after i get back from holiday and maybe get out there then. worst way i wait until the start of next season for it. at least now i'm ready and know what's needed

Hi Chris, I bought a Stumpjumper FSR about 18 months ago and have been riding as often as I can at as many different trail centres as I can. I've had a few goes at Dh using my stumpy and I think doing Dh is what I enjoy the most, but I found the bike limiting. Hence my wanting to get a new bike and get into it properly, plus some of the lads I ride with have already done a few tours of the Alps and I want to get involved! Not sure what to expect from the course as I don't know what difference the bike will make to my riding. Where I struggle the most is how to corner fast and pumping for speed. If the course covers bigger jumps etc that would also be a bonus I guess. There may be 3 of going, so it's only £50 each then. cheers e

Have been talking to dirtschool.co.uk about doing a course... they're booked up at the moment but have offered a one to one session for £120 or £150 for me and a mate or two. I don;t reckon it can do any harm and if anything it may just boost confidence. Gonna ring the bike shop to see if hotlines have received my baby yet! I'm not gonna sleep till the weekend! Cheers e

She is hopefully arriving in the shop tomorrow and I'm thinking of popping in to watch her being built! I can't wait now! The missus doesn't know yet that it's gonna be 3 in a bed for a while! bluddy appalling. It was the worst weather ever. Very wet, very muddy and cold. Injured my wrist too. I've had better weekends. I'll make up for it in the next one in few weeks time
