I rode the trail today 15.02.2009 and found it really really muddy but still good fun.
The trail can be hard to follow, just make sure tou keep an eye out for the small red signs
Well worth a visit exspecially in the summer !

It was very fun for me, i enjoyed the singletrack and getting some speed and skidding around some corners in the wet mud was fun controling the bike and trying not to fall off. But it felt like for every singletrack going downhill it was like there was double the uphill so thats tires you out. But for me like most people are saying it is probably the best there is in the south east and i think it will get better. Will go again in the summer and im sure it will be even better.

Get there and ride it - its only going to get better

Review:
I wasn't that fit when I rode it and some bits nearly killed me, but I loved every moment of it.
We went in December and were absolutely caked in mud, but there is (if it hasn't frozen) a bike wash at the end and a cafe for bacon sandwiches.

Quite an easy XC trail to burn a few calories. Good fun to burn around, and plenty of forest single track.

Fit, experienced riders might be disappointed but the comments posted here are fair.

A little pricey, it's now 7.50 to get in, but plenty of facilities.

Getting better?

Review:
I did my first loop of the Red Single Track route this weekend and really quite enjoyed it. I usually just ride in the wild, and the only other centre I've been to is Grizedale in the Lakes. Having said that, and read the previous reviews I would say:

I think the trails have bedded in over winter, as they were not boggy or rutted this weekend (has been raining a bit recently), and I went round with no grumbles.

Additionally there is now (it looked new) a small section set out in a large clearing where a snakey series of bermed corners have been added which are ok, possibly these need to bed in a bit.

The trail isn't as much fun as Grizedale, but is absoultely fine for an afternoons blast. I agree there is a fair bit of firetrack.

Parking was £7.50 on Sunday. OUCH. It was busy generally, though not on the bulk of the trail, I only got held up a little. But there were the odd plum riding round the route the wrong way. Idiots.
