Summary:
Great location for experienced riders

Review:
Visited the trail recently in cold and damp conditions. Had a great afternoon exploring the area though it was challenging. I consider myself a moderately skilled rider and on the whole was comfortable with the difficulty of the red route on the trail, however some of the more technical climbs were very tricky. Lots of variety in the area as a whole and I will be visiting again soon. Easy to find as well with the area being signposted in the surrounding area. Only issues for me is a lot of the trail was loose rock which, particularly in the DH sections, would suit a more skilled/experienced rider, although O may have struggled more with the damp conditions. Highlight of the site is the long forest DH section at the end.

Really enjoyed the black trail through the quarry

Review:
Had a fun couple of hour exploring the area. Really enjoyed the half flooded quarry half way around and the jumps at the end. Will have to get back and explore it a bit further.

Hard Graft

Review:
Went up on 28th July 2015,

Was a wet and dismal day, but not too windy, I am a novice MTB rider only had experience on a few BLUE trials and a small section or RED in other places but felt confident on most of these trials.

They are mostly wide, smooth, and have some difficult climbs to get to the downhill bits.

was definatly fun even for a newbie like myself so with some confidence this would be a great place to ride.

the variety is amazing but this is also a downside, I was pretty much alone up there and being my first time I was also very lost, no clear signage or waypoints. very confusing when there are multiple branches leading off in every direction.

quality of the trials is good as stated earlier.

Facilities is next to non exsistent but this is an old quarry not sure what you would expect a gift shop !!

Location, was maybe a 40 min drive form me in East Manchester but was easy to get to and has a fair bit of free parking too.

Will be going again when my bum recovers.!!
