Best place to improve

Review:
I went to PORC for my 3rd ever downhill session. Turning up with all the gear and no idea i accepted that i was a prime candidate for ridicule but i got none. Everyone was encouraging, gave advice and showed concern immediately after my multiple crashes.

A lot of the runs take some skill and a big wallop of commitment for beginners. Nowhere else i've been so far forces you to improve as fast though. Features that are down right terrifying your first time quickly become just another part of a line.

The runs are relatively short around a minute but this means that the push up is pretty easy at around 10mins allowing you many runs & lines in a day.

Summary:
A rapidly evolving Bike Park with Uplift Service for the South East.

Review:
I had been riding single track for 2 years and fancied trying my hand at DH. PORC was recommended to me by a friend so off I went. Well, I was pretty daunted to start with and needed a good lawyer as I cased everything and blew up my rear shock. However, I had caught the bug. I immediately invested in a DH Bike and started to visit a little more regularly. At first I thought it was a bit clicky but I soon realised that it was mainly because I look like a hooligan and am pretty quiet, so probably not the most approachable chap. Anyway, Mike Westphall (the owner) is always very friendly and accommodating and really has a great set-up. I 'LIKED' the PORC Facebook page and soon got wind of their Race Series (Run by Mike Joseph of Downhill Freeriders) bit the bullet and entered my first ever race after probably 5 or 6 sessions at PORC. Needless to say I didn't win but I wasn't last either. The atmosphere was awesome and the track was mega. It was a very well organised event and gave me the opportunity to meet some great people and forge new friendships. This venue is evolving month by month and is really becoming something special. The tracks are fairly short but there is plenty of choice and variation and where else in the South East can you get a lift back to the top in their new addition of a 10 person Uplift vehicle.

Great Place to ride, with good campsite too

Review:
Went there once for a day, then again for 4 days, camping there, nice campsite, me and my friends had a whole field to ourselves! Really good trails, need to be a good rider to enjoy them fully, though beginners could still have fun, the 4x is all rollable, but if your a beginner maybe go on a weekday when it's less busy, so you can go at your own pace without worrying about holding others up. Fun jumps, dh and 4x, great place!

Awesome - great riding and a friendly place to be

Review:
Really good big set of dirt jumps, mulch landing is ideal for landing new tricks. Step ups also good for learning tricks. Jumps don't change very often, riding the same set of jumps over and over can get tiresome, however, they do not need maintaining much and ride in the wet too. 4X used to be good, is still fun but very bumpy. I hear the downhill is good but i dont really ride the downhill.

PORC also has a cafe, a huge ongoing building project, the largest tree in the british isles and is a nice place to be regardless of the riding.
