me and two friends did the uplift there yesterday, fantastic course in a stunning location, really fast as it was bone dry, really good to improve your riding skills, make sure you have good tubes and tyres as it is very rocky, i got punctures in both tubes and my mate got one, will be going again very soon!!!!

the cwmcarn is free ride and dh is brill its just on top of the mountain from ma house its even better the tunnel is good cose you can get a fast start its a brill track if your in to your xc the trwch trail is good to i did it on my dh bike and it was hard and challenging but its really fun and the dh track has 3 routhes to chosse from brill

Did the day uplift on an all mountain bike. Good fun track with lots of interest. Big smiles by the bottom and various broken bits of bike. Also the Mighty Ray Gun (search for that in google) was there taking photo's so got meself a pro shot to remember it by.

All in all a really good day.

Review:
I rode the Black trail for the first time on thursday. I turned up with a rigid bike.
I found the trail upwards hard, and had to stop to rest a few times. (but i havent ridden a bike for a long time, and i'm abit overweight and unfit)

We rode the black trail, and really enjoyed it, despite the fact that i had the rigid bike.

I cant wait to go back this week again, but this time with the full susp.

Not looking forward to the ride back up, but its worth the ride down!!

Hopefully over a few weeks i'll increase my fitness, and hpefully the ride up wont be so bad!

Only had one off, which was a soft one! Apart from the christmas tree!!

Firstly, facilities are great, the uplift is the best I've used, the bikes don't touch anything else so no damage at all, and the view from the top is sweet.

Then the track, I loved it, had a bit of everything and all very well maintained. If its open speed and fun jumps you want the top section has it, then its all tight rooty, rocky twisty trail all the way to the fireroad. Not too hard to get down but you can go mega fast if you want. Then you've got the full speed berms and jumps - scary fun! The big hip and table at the end are two of the biggest and most fun jumps I've found in the UK - can't beat it!
