The Best in South wales for free

The Trials are very technical for your XC Trial and Enduro rider and many trials to choose from and the best thing is its absolutely free to ride there.

Quite dull and low on variety

Good if you just want a spin but not really a place to go if you want a blast.

Do you like fire roads?

I know that we have to climb to be rewarded with epic down hill single track, but my friends and I were pretty uninspired with "The Wall" until we got to the last descent! it was fast and furious and just what we had been waiting for! It rescued the reputation of the wall! If you want lots of single track, then Whites level in my mind is the trail to ride, it has it all!

Review:
rode this following and mbuk rave review about how great it was, really didn't like it the first climb it was horrible and never really got any flow. the final downhill was really good fun. I think you would need to ride this several times to get the most out of it but it was such a long drive from the midlands that I wouldn't do it again, this is a short vid of our visit http://www.pinkbike.com/video/55266/

Summary:
A challenge

Review:
Fitness is definitely needed to enjoy this one otherwise it does seem a long time on the forest roads. A lot of forest operations have taken place over the last year but now most sections are re-opened, except for about 1/2 of the Grand Canyon. The final descent will shake out the cobwebs, especially if you're riding a 100mm front fork! This is a good challenge but I wouldn't do it if you're not cycling regularly as fitness is definitely needed. I really want to see Grand Canyon open again soon as the boulder field was great fun.....that's the only reason I don't give this trail full marks.
