Leith Hill Mountain Bike Trails

Leith Hill is the highest point in the south east and managed by the National Trust. It is very popular with mountain bikers which offers one official trail and plenty of off-piste sections for more experienced riders who like to explore.

Summer Lightning Mountain Bike Trail (Red 8.5km)

The Summer Lightning Mountain Bike Trail is the only official trail on Leith Hill. The red graded trail from Leith Hill Tower is a 8.5km long circular trail. Just under 3km of new trails were constructed by B1KE to add to the exiting Summer Lightning Trail to create the complete way marked loop.

Off-Piste & Natural Trails

Leith Hill offers a network of off-piste trails to explore for more experienced riders seeking more technical challenges. This area combines National Trust, Forestry Commission, and private property. Please stick to designated MTB trails, avoiding footpaths and unmarked routes.

We suggest using the 'Landslip' car park which is located just south of the village Coldharbour on Abinger road. At the highest end of the carpark, pick up the footpath. This will lead you right to Leith Hill tower where the trails start.

Surrey Hills Mountain Bike Trails

Surrey Hills features mountain bike trails across the North Downs. The primary ride spots include Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill, and Pitch Hill. Various routes can be achieved between them, with local knowledge providing the best trail experience.
