ONE Industries Vapor Stratum Glove Review
27 January 2014 | By fyldesmurfDespite a colour scheme change to match this year’s jerseys, not much has changed in the actual design of the ONE Industries Vapor Stratum gloves that have topped ‘Most Wanted’ lists for the past few years.
This year, the glove is either available in green, blue and yellow or black, white and red and it remains as one of the top gloves on the market.
The glove certainly lives up to its name, it’s so light and airy that it often feels like you’re not wearing anything at all. You still feel the effect of the glove though, with a clarion palm, as well as silicon pads on the palm and fingers to provide more than adequate grip.
The lightness of the gloves comes with a cost, the back panel is very thin and could be prone to ripping. Having said that, the glove is durably stitched so the more important bits of the glove should stay intact.
The glove has a tight fit, to match its slim-line ethos, and unusually the cuff goes quite far down the wrist (fitting almost like a normal everyday glove) but it has a silicon pad under the wrist flap to stop this getting in the way. The tight fit retains warmth, so these gloves will be suitable for riding in all but the most dire of conditions.
The glove is finished off with the now mandatory ‘snot wiper’ on top of the thumb.
Conclusion
However bear in mind there is very little protection, so if you prefer having knuckle padding or thick gloves it may be worth looking elsewhere.
If you want a light and well-fitting glove, then this is definitely the product for you.
