Scott Prototype Downhill Bike Photos

Here we have the photos of Brendan Fairclough's new prototype Scott Gambler frame. We are unsure if its actually called the Gambler but we will just have to wait and see. The Scott11 team are also relatively new to the frames as the only just first rode them last week testing in San Romolo. Now they are being thrown straight into the World Cup!

Here it is! Running on complete Fox/Shimano gear this is the new rig Scott are hoping Brendan will get a solid result on this weekend.

A closer look at the single pivot scissor linkage on the rear shock.

Welds are noticeable on this frame so it is only aluminium but with Scott large range of carbon mountain bikes it won't be long till this one is, after testing of course.

Brendan Fairclough looking over his new machine, I'm sure that number 29 will come down this year...

Interesting is one way to put. Over complicated is how I would describe it.

Also, is that the new fox dropper post? New saint groupset (rear mech and brake calipers anyway)?

Yes its the Fox dropper. And no standard Saint. Gwin is the only person running the new prototype stuff. Though it is interesting Brendan has all blacked out XT style levers

$ pot with finned pads, standard saint?

oodboo replied on: 16 March 2012 12:47

4 pot not $

gregberry replied on: 16 March 2012 13:14

saint is currently 4 pot. I cant see the finned pads.

More noticeable on the back brake than the front.

Went riding with Brendan a few weeks ago in Peaslake, it was the first time I'd met him and I must say what a nice guy he is. Good luck for the future...
