Exciting Trail Renovations Coming to Drummy Woods
The much-loved mountain bike trails at Drummy Woods in Tarland, Aberdeenshire, are getting an overhaul in the coming months!
Rik Allsop, the legendary trail builder, will lead a team of local volunteers and our TTMOs to carry out the work, with the hope of passing on some of his skills to our local trail crew.
The trails in Drummy Woods are starting to show signs of age & wear. They’ll be getting a new lease of life in the form of:
- Rebuilt trail surfaces for smoother, safer rides.
- Reprofiled trail lines for better flow and progression.
- New features for skill development.
This is happening with the help of generous grant funding from the Take Care Of Your Trails - Trail Accessibility Award. IMBA Europe Shimano-MTB
You might be wondering why the Orange jump trail isn’t on this list… We’re planning a bigger job for this trail which won’t be happening this time around but is definitely something to look forward to soon!
