First Look: Juice Lubes 2011
Last month we caught up with the guys from Juice Lubes at The Bike Place show and they kindly gave us some of their new products to take a look at and keep our bikes very smooth over the coming season. Check em out!
Brake Juice:
Brake Juice is Juice Lubes solution for better, cleaner braking and is an essential product for keeping your bike running sweet. Using a chlorine free formulation, Brake Juice will clean your brakes without doing the following; contaminate the pads, leave a residue, harm any materials on your bike and leave an annoying squealing noise! Also application couldn't be simpler! Simply spray all over any rotors, pads and calipers, watch it try dry instantly then you're ready to ride!
RRP: £8.99
Dirt Juice:
Dirt Juice is an all purpose bike cleaner that is non-solvent, non-hazardous and fully bio degradable. Available in two types of solutions, either "Dirt Juice Super Gnarl" or "Dirt Juice Less Gnarl". The idea behind it is that the Super Gnarl is a 1lt concentrate bottle of Dirt Juice and can be diluted down 10:1 to make 11 bottles of Less Gnarl, making effectively 11 bottles of Less Gnarl for £11.99! We tested Dirt Juice on our bikes after a very wet winter ride and found that the Super Gnarl is a very strong cleaning agent that is great on any oily parts but for the money the diluted Less Gnarl does the job absolutely spot on!
RRP:
Dirt Juice Super Gnarl (1lt) and Less Gnarl (1lt): £16.99
Dirt Juice Super Gnarl (1lt): £11.99
Viking Juice:
Viking Juice is a roadie based chain lube and being Moredirt.com you can imagine we would struggled to review this! Designed with Swedish road rider legend Magnus Backstedt in mind, as he kept telling the Juice Lubes guys that he was fed up of having to re-oil his chain whilst riding on the Paris-Roubaix. So now there is a lube for the roadies who want to ride longer! We will find someone to give this a proper test in the coming months.
RRP: £10.99
Bearing Juice:
Bearing Juice is a low temperature specific bearing grease application on your bike, with its high water resistance, it will stay for ages and keep your bike running smooth. Not the shiniest of products, but I have stuck where I can on my bike and I love it! Keeps everything running smooth and after a fair few washes has so far stayed put!
RRP: £6.75
AAS Juice:
AAS stands for Aluminum Anti Seize and as you could have probably guessed it is an anti seizes grease for all threaded metal to metal applications. Using this stuff allows for easier assembly in the future and also helps stop any creaks/squeaks across your bolts. I have tried it on my seat clamp bolt and stem bolts, placing it here makes for real easy adjustments by not having to fight with getting them undone.
RRP: £9.99
