Aston Hill Demo Day Cancelled
Further to a review of the Aston Hill area this morning (Saturday 7th), and subsequent discussions with the event organisers a decision has been made to cancel the demo day. Access to the hill is difficult and the volume of untouched snow that has accumulated and now frozen on the trails, display and parking has reached nearly knee high. In addition the weight of the snow has bought down a number of trees and branches. With some others weakened there is a real danger of these falling at any time. We envisage that there may be quite a clean up operation required and in light of preparations to the trails, especially the Black Run (for racing on March 15th), we will be closing Aston Hill this weekend and next weekend, reopening on 21st February. We apologise for any inconvenience, however we also hope you will appreciate this situation is beyond our control. More information to follow as it is made available. www.rideastonhill.co.ukLatest news
