Having spent many many hours on the phone over the last 5 days to the relevant authorities, land owners and local residents a decision has been made.

This decision took into account the current Government guidance, decisions by organisers in various other countries, and was made in light of what the Welsh Assembly, local authorities, and community representatives have said. Therefore, it will not be possible to run any events in 2020 or at the least until a vaccine is widely available, in order to protect the participants and local communities from this unusual and dangerous situation.

With this information it is with great sadness and disappointment to many that the decision was made to cancel the events. In my opinion to do anything else would be morally irresponsible.

Refunds to all remaining competitors have already been sent back on Monday 11th May, these refunds can take anything from 1 to 10 days to show up in you account.

Each entry ticket is subject to the £15 admin fee as per the T&C’s on the WGES website http://welshgravityenduro.com/rulesregulations/.

People who have entered the entire series at the discounted rate will only incur a one time £15 admin fee.

By registering to attend an event, you have confirmed that you have read and understood our cancellation policy.

Where does the admin fee go?

The admin fee helps to cover numerous hours of admin, dating back to November, that go into planning, promoting, site visits, trail building and expenses incurred to date.

None of the entry money is ever accessed until events have happened, or due to circumstances out of our control, been cancelled, meaning that you can be safe in the knowledge that a refund minus the admin fee is always possible.

As always, any questions please ask. And I hope to see you all on a trail soon.

Take care, stay safe and ride within your limits.

All the best,

Charlie Williams & The WGES Team
