Sherwood Pines Forest Park Dig Days - Volunteers needed!
Sherwood Pines Forest Park is developing a centre of Excellence for Off Road Cycling. This will include the creation of sustainable, inspiring facilities that can be enjoyed by a wide range of visitors. We have begun construction of the 6 mile XC route which takes in both existing and newly constructed trails (Volunteers needed!). A bike park including the dirt jumps and some new northshore (construction of northshore starting later this year). A Skills Loop (construction beginning May volunteers needed!). A Family Cycle Route (nearing completion) and an Adventure Cycle route (coming soon). If you would like to become involved with the XC route, there are several dig days over the next few weeks. We will meet outside the Café at about 10.00am, (bring your bike so we can ride into the forest) and we will return at about 1.00pm. 5 + 6 April 26 + 27 April 3 + 4 May All tools will be provided by the Forestry Commission, please wear appropriated clothing (something you do not mind getting dirty) I would also like to say a big thank you to all of the people who have come along and helped us out already.
