Newbridge Park Mountain Bike Trails Re-Open

We are pleased to annouce that the mountain bike trails at Newbridge Park have re-opened again after closure due to vandalism.

We'll be tweaking a few things in the next few weeks with brash screens (please don't move them!!), some new signs (PLEASE don't let the new ones get smashed in again) then revamping the picnic area and pump track. We'll also be looking to engage a young trail crew to build some new features so if you're interested in getting involved let us know.

Keeping the trails open costs a flipping fortune! We pay £1200 a year rent to the Duchy of Lancaster (the Queen), £1500 a year insurance and at least £500 a year on materials for maintenance. None of the volunteers get a penny for their work. It's for the love of mountain biking and our gift to you, to locals and to visitors.

The only way we can keep the place running is by fundraising (yet more volunteer work!) and memberships/passes so please don't be tight. If you enjoy riding there don't sponge off others, cough up. It's only £2 for a week or £10 for a whole year! You can pay at Trailblazer Outdoors in the Market Place or you can pay by PayPal on the Membership Page at www.newbridgepark.co.uk We'll even credit a £2 week pass if you like it and want to upgrade to an annual membership (only in the shop though).

Happy riding folks!!! (and don't forget to share this post pretty please!).

p.s. as ever, please let us know about anything that needs fixing or if you see anybody up to no good (it will all be in confidence). We need eyes and ears up there.
